Generaloberst Hans Hube, at Stalingrad General der Panzertruppen. Awarded with the knight cross, oakleaves, swords

and diamonds. Lost one arm in the first world war. Killed in a plane crash during 1944. He left the pocket at Stalingrad twice.

Flew back in once. Hitler ordered Hube to fly out on 19 January 1943. Was replaced by Schlömer.

 

Disbanded divisions : 94 I.D., 384 I.D.  and 79 I.D. staff flew out of the encirclement units attached to other divisions.

Generalmajor Erich Magnus became sick, kept his command on paper but

Generalmajor Lattmann replaced him and took command of the division.

Steinmetz flew heavily wounded out on 8 January 1943.
